Vietnam's administrative arm in football: When Tran Quoc Tuan takes the Asian Games operations seat

According to initial information, the tournament has 15 teams, divided into four groups – three groups of four and one group of three. An odd number, different from the traditional 16-team format. What does that number say? Possibly a team withdrew after the draw, possibly an adjustment from the OCA or AFC. In any case, having a three-team group means a scheduling advantage: that team will have more rest days, fewer group matches.
